| VitaminWater 10 has now become VitaminWater Zero, and I've heard mixed reviews. Some really don't like the taste of the new zero calorie version, but I have to say I do (although I've only tried grape raspberry so far). I have also recently become more accustomed to things tasting less sweet, as I've been working REALLY hard to cut back on sugar, something I'm encouraging all of my readers to do. One serving of this has 120% of the daily allowance of Vitamin C, and now 40% of the daily allowance of Vitamins B3, B5, B6 & B12! This is a vast improvement from the regular VitaminWater no doubt (which has 125 calories and 33 grams of sugar in the bottle)...but buyers still beware: there is no evidence that drinks containing supplemental vitamins and antioxidants have the same effect in the body as vitamins and antioxidants that come from pure, raw sources. (See my "superfood" article). |

Wow, a "milk" to beat Almond Breeze on calories, sodium and fat! Save 10 calories with this Almond Dream non-dairy beverage. This has more of a real almondy taste than Almond Breeze, which is a good and a bad thing. A good thing because the almonds taste great, but a bad thing when this is mixed with cereals where the deep almond taste doesn't mesh well and can overpower the cereal. However, because this is the lowest calorie and lowest sodium 'milk' I have found yet, I'm gonna make the switch whenever possible.

| This is one of those amazing products that is delicious, nutritious and very low calorie (1/2 the calories of regular milk or soy milk)! This award-winning, non-dairy beverage is made from almonds - making it all natural, lactose-free, gluten-free and cholesterol free. I prefer the vanilla flavor, as the plain doesn't quite cut it. Make sure you get the new "unsweetened" version and save youself a bunch of calories...it still tastes great! One downside: this beverage does not have the protein that milk has, so if you want protein, try Silk's Light soy milk. |
